Andy Booth Joins 3LR Lighting as Project Consultant

3LR Lighting is delighted to announce that Andy Booth is joining the company as Project Consultant. Andy’s role will strengthen 3LR’s position as an ETC Manufacturer’s Representative and he will work closely to support dealers as well as continue to find new markets for the ETC Architectural range.

Andy’s first experience of working within technical entertainment started when he was just thirteen years old. Volunteering at a local amateur theatre, he quickly became involved in professional productions and large-scale touring. Over the years, he has meticulously honed his expertise across lighting, sound, video, and stage engineering; all of which will now incorporate into his role at 3LR.

He also worked for several major cruise lines, becoming Production Manager and specialising in bringing new vessels into service and managing complex refurbishment projects during dry dock periods. Returning to land, Andy expanded his reach across the global AVLM (Audio, Visual, Lighting, and Media) arena and worked around the world, with major projects in Singapore, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia. Notable projects include the Bollywood Parks™ Dubai, New York University Abu Dhabi, the Royal Albert Hall and the Royal Festival Hall, where he worked closely with 3LR.

Matthew Lloyd, 3LR’s Managing Director, comments: “I am absolutely delighted that Andy is now joining our team; bringing with him decades of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of technical integration. With 3LR being proud Manufacturer’s Representative for ETC, Andy will be able to work closely with all our customers, consultants, dealers and integrators in order to showcase how ETC’s ground-breaking products can help realise their creative visions.  Alongside our current team of Simon Needle, Stuart West, Sandra James and Karoliina Helin, he will be an invaluable asset and we are very fortunate to have him on board”.

Andy adds: “I’ve worked with 3LR on several occasions now; most recently at the Royal Festival Hall with d&b Solutions, where we oversaw the upgrade of its existing house lights to a brand-new LED system, centred almost entirely on products from ETC’s ArcSystem and ArcLamp range. I share the company’s founding passion of ‘lighting by emotion’ and the emotional impact lighting can have and look forward to what is already shaping up to be an exciting few months ahead”.
